Ebola is a deadly disease that has been very much in the news in 2014. Left untreated, Ebola has a 90% mortality rate. Even treated, the mortality rate can be as high as 70%.

As deadly as Ebola is, sin is deadlier. Sin infects 100% of the population, including each person reading this post. Left untreated, sin’s mortality rate is 100%.

The only cure for sin is what we celebrate at Christmas. God mercifully and graciously sending His Son, Jesus, into the world to suffer the death of sin and to offer the gift of life.
